Memory Lane – Verano 2003
These are from 2003, when Max and myself first came to Miramar and met Pepe, Nacho, Balcarce and loads of others.
Amigos, gracias por los recuerdos! See you in Brazil in Winter!
Friday 30 Jan – Vodka Party – Miramar
Vodka party at Pepe’s last night, a tradition enjoyed 6 years ago in Miramar with Max, Franco, Nacho and others.
1 litre between 3 people, the other bottle is for part 2 of the party, which will be in Brazil with Franco and Tomas.
Too drunk to ride, bike with no brakes… crashed into a parked car and slammed hard, half my right hand is out of commission, don’t think it’s broken so all good :)
Miramar – Tuesday 27th Jan
Catching up with friends – Miramar
Miramar – Domingo 25 Jan 2009
Back to Miramar – Saturday 24 Jan
Headed to Miramar on the coach today, made it as far as Mar Del Plata before the bus broke down.
Arrived a bit later than expected, accommodation I was hoping for was booked solid so we went to drop bags at LaLa’s so we could search faster.
LaLa and family helped us to find a place from Monday and insisted we stay in the house for 2 nights! I love Argentina!
Miramar Day #3 Later
Went to the La Bosque Energetico (Energy Forest) in the afternoon, it’s a place where trees grow strangely close together and seem to lean towards a central point.
Then went to the beach and messed about in the dunes, did a bit of streaking and walked about 2km home, got myself a new boogie, Mike Stewart MS8, British Airways wouldn’t let me take my board on the plane! all good now, 1st new board in years :D
Got the midnight bus back to Buenos Aires, 84 pesos (£16) and arrived at Retiro around 6:30am.

Miramar Day #3 Morning
Miramar Day #2
Kelly got herself a pink surfboard today, 6’0″, Kel is 5’2 and a quarter so it’s pretty cool for a first board.
Went surfing in central Miramar and took some water shots, Kel’s session was alright, not bad for 1st attempt… no blood :D
The Little Guy kept us entertained later on, chilling in the garden hax0ring the hotel next door for free internet access on a rocking chair with a kids boogieboard for a desk.
Went out for dinner in a place that serves beer in “un girafa” (a giraffe) which is a big tube (2 or 3 litre) with a draught tap, so no waiting at the bar or waiting for mongo waiter to satisfy your craving for Quilmes :)
Goodnight mongos of the world x
Miramar Day #1
Got to Miramar around 4pm, had a bit of sleep on the bus, I got around 2 hours, Kel slept most of the way, no surprises there ;)
Went for a swim, Kel and Franco were smarter, water was freezing, headache material.
Went and got some groceries at the supermarket then chilled and with Franco and his Grandmother in the house.
